Cisco Cius – What are They Really Up To?
What is Cisco thinking with this new device called Cius?  Robb Boyd and Jimmy Ray Purser set up the questions they need answered and hint a bit about what they learned in building this show.

Cisco Cius: Distraction or Destiny?
Many big companies have rolled out attempts at a tablet computer and at least one has already pulled the plug. Cisco must have some unique angles on this. TechWiseTV Collaboration expert Laura Powers puts Senior Director Roberto De La Mora in the hot seat so he can make his case.

Cius in ACTION
The Cisco Cius mobile platform promises full multi-media capabilities in a completely unified, fully integrated manner.  In this segment of TechWiseTV, special guest David Scott illustrates how stuff gets done as he and TechWiseTV Chief Skeptic Jimmy Ray Purser run it through some real world tests.

Cius Application Development
Hardware is only part of the story for any successful mobile device.  Larry Michalewicz is one of the lead software development engineers assisting with the API extensions that make Cisco’s AppHQ, the Cius Application store, possible.  He shows us just how flexible this device can be and gives us a rundown on the basics of writing your own Cius application.

Cius Security Tear Down
Good security is critical for a mobile device to operate successfully in an enterprise environment.  We approach this from the criminal mindset and even break down the design elements (literally!) in both hardware and software that make the Cisco Cius a standout.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
